Link Project
& Booklet
This project aims at providing links between the Egyptian scientific and
academic community in North America (students and faculty members) and
their fellow researcher in Egypt. This link helps provide some services
to prospective researchers in Egypt such as:
- Information about Egyptian professors in different
universities in Canada and USA;
- Assessment of different research areas in North
American universities;
- Evaluation of the performance and student-professor
relationships of professors and researchers in different research
areas in North America;
- Estimation of living expenses in several cities in
Canada and USA;
- Helping new Egyptian students find suitable
accommodation prior to their arrival to North America;
- Trying to accomodate a pickup service to newly arrived Egyptian students at
several Airports in USA and Canada;
This project was launched in its current form in 1998
and since then it has served many Egyptian students in different ways as
mentioned in the previous paragraph.
The project manager is responsible for receiving assistance requests, in a manner similar to the SINA project mentioned above, and for delivering them to ESANA members asking for their support. The project manager for the year 2008 was Ziad Aly of University de Sherbrooke and starting from July 2008 Mohamed Ibrahim took over the duties of the project.
